The story behind Muse Homeware

The story behind Muse Homeware

I am Phoebe, founder of Muse Homeware. Muse began in 2024, when I was living in a flat with my two best friends. We wanted to make our home feel beautiful, personal, and full of colour—but everything we found felt either too expensive, too generic, or not quite the quality we were looking for.

Around the same time, I was painting a lot in my spare time but had a full time office job. Being creative has always been something I loved, and I started experimenting with turning my own designs into homeware. What began as a creative outlet quickly became something more: the first few pieces I made by hand became the beginning of Muse.

I started small, selling on a few online marketplaces, and slowly orders began to come in. What started as a side project grew into something I really wanted to develop into a creative brand of my own. For over 6 months I was creating and designing all my products from my flat. Until in the summer of 2025, I took the next step and moved into my first studio. It gave me space to grow Muse properly—developing new designs, refining ideas, and building a brand that felt true to what I loved most: colour, creativity, and everyday beauty.

Today, Muse is still very much just me. I design every piece, handle all the behind-the-scenes work, pack every order, and run the day-to-day of the business. As the brand grows, I’ve also begun working with skilled makers in India to produce select collections. Each piece is carefully crafted and hand-painted, combining traditional techniques with modern design.

At its heart, Muse is about creating homeware that feels joyful, personal, and a little bit unexpected. Pieces that are perfect for gifting, but also for making your own space feel more like you.

Thank you for being here and supporting this journey.
